Shaker Mountain is located on a secluded mountain top in Lebanon Springs on the site of an old Shaker Village, now called “Abode of the Message”.

The best way to reach the mountain is by car. From North Brooklyn, it is a scenic 2h 45min drive along the Taconic State Parkway. Once you arrive, there is complimentary parking on top of the mountain. Car pools can be arranged by linking up with people via our Facebook page.
Greyhound from Port Authority to Pittsfield, MA. Takes approx. 5 hours with 1 transfer in Springfield, MA. Uber X (if available) is approx. $12 and is roughly 15 minutes.
Amtrak from Penn Station to Albany/Rensselaer.
The station is approx. 35 miles away and will take roughly 50 minutes by car.

CAMPING + WHAT TO BRING
The mountain is a huge campsite, equipped with proper flushing toilets, hot showers and fresh running water. You’ll need to bring and pitch a tent to sleep in, there is plenty of space for single and multi person tents. You can also sleep in your car if you prefer, although camping under the trees is highly encouraged.
Things to bring: • A tent • sleeping bag + sleeping mat • pillow • warm clothes for night • comfortable shoes • insect repellent • sun protection • Ca$h • water bottle (no water sold on site, you can fill up with fresh water at the water station)
This year campers will be allowed to stay on the Mountain through Sunday and leave on Monday morning. Food service will end with Brunch on Sunday. You’ll still have access to showers and bathroom facilities. Restaurants are located close by at the bottom of the Mountain.
FOOD & DRINK
All campers enjoy complimentary meals all weekend prepared by in-house chefs using produce grown on-site. Brunch and dinner are served daily as well as all day coffee and late night snacks so you never get hungry. A selection of reasonably priced alcoholic drinks will be available at the bar, please bring cash for this.
